and of course the reason we are here "eateries".

This is a very open site. It is very self service.
Just viewing eateries requires nothing.
To add or modify an eatery requires you to go through an automated sign up process.
At present I only require an email address so I can send you a starting password
and validate that you are who you say you are.
All email addresses are kept internal to the system, they never appear on a html page.

As this site gets more populated, you will be able to pick a road that you are traveling on and find a place to eat.
Having taken many a road trip in the past, it is always a crap shoot when picking some place to eat.
The regular travel guides are fine in big cities, where you know the area and what towns are around you.
But when you are on a road trip ... not much help.
You will find out-of-the-way places where the locals eat.
